LIVE GEOS (ALWAYS UP TO DATE) https://partners.subjectwell.com/publishers/geos_report/7e2369a4-c3f4-445b-9ce9-c2d338e0e174 Age Range: 40-85 Gender: Any Study Description: This is a clinical research study to test the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication as an add-on treatment for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). You may be asked to attend an initial screening visit to determine if you’re eligible to enroll in the study. If enrolled, you will be randomly selected to receive injections of either the study medication or a placebo for one year. Total participation will last approximately a year and a half, and you will be required to attend monthly doctor’s visits throughout the study. Trial-related procedures and study medication will be provided at no cost. Qualifications: - Must be diagnosed with COPD for one year or longer - Must be former smoker - In the last year, have had a productive cough (coughing up mucus) that lasted for 3 months or longer - Must have experienced a COPD exacerbation within the past year that required you to visit an ER and/or receive treatment with steroids or antibiotics - Currently experience symptoms of COPD, such as: Cough, Mucus production, Chest tightness, Shortness of breath, especially during activity, Lack of energy - Cannot have had surgery to remove entire lung or lung volume reduction to treat COPD - Cannot have had a heart attack in past year
