Geo: US Only Traffic: Email Age Range: 5-17 years old Gender: All Study Description: The purpose of this clinical study is to see if an investigational drug is effective at addressing the irritability associated with ASD in children and adolescents. You and your child may be asked to attend at least one screening visit to determine if your child is eligible to enroll in the study. If enrolled, your child will receive either the investigational drug being tested in this study or a placebo to be taken once daily for 6 weeks. Total participation will last approximately 2 months and you and your child will be asked to attend 6 in-office doctor’s visits and up to 2 virtual or in-office visits. During these visits, your child will complete various assessments and laboratory tests. Participants may be eligible to receive reimbursement for study related travel and expenses. Participants may also have an opportunity to enroll in an open-label extension where all participants will receive the investigational drug for one year. The doctor’s office conducting the study will be able to provide you with more information about the study requirements. Qualifications: - Child/Adolescent cannot be diagnosed with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, fragile x syndrome, retts disorder - Child/Adolescent cannot also be diagnosed with anxiety or ADHD
