Study Description:
This study is testing an investigational injectable medication compared to a placebo for the treatment of moderate to severe asthma. Participants will receive the study medication or placebo for approximately 11 months. Additional procedures include physical examinations, laboratory tests and e-diary completion. Total participation will last approximately 1 year and 1 month with 16 doctor’s visits throughout the study. Eligibility for the study will be determined by the study doctor following one in-person screening visits to the clinic. Trial-related procedures and study medication will be provided at no cost.
Qualifications:
- Must be diagnosed with asthma 1 year or longer
Highest DQs:
- Must be taking a daily inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) with or without other asthma meds for at least 3 months
- In the past year, had to have had two or more asthma exacerbations that required treatment with corticosteroids that led to an emergency room/urgent care visit/hospitalization
